A 5/4mm wetsuit is allowed to deliver some serious warmth, but not at the cost of your freedom of movement. The Prolimit Predator 5/4 Free-X Frontzip 2027 Wetsuit solves that with the Free-X closure, a chest entry you get into easily. That keeps your back completely neoprene, which saves on stiffness and on what you feel underneath your harness. Prolimit combines that with NaturePrene2 Oystershell, a material that stretches remarkably far for this thickness.
The updated chest and back panels are the change for 2027. Those are exactly the spots that catch the most wind, so it is an improvement you notice mainly on the beach: while you are setting up your kite and in the minutes you spend waiting for your mate. For the rest, the 5/4 Free-X sticks to the build that already worked well last year.
The outer layer is Down Airflex. It repels water, dries quickly and limits windchill, so a short break on the beach does not ruin the session. On the inside you get Zodiac 2 with Velvet Airflex, a velvet fleece that takes the water off your skin and releases it again fast.
